Description
The crescent blade and back spike pierced, with engraved edges, and broad spike likewise pierced and well-engraved with a crest on either side. Pierced at the center with a Maltese cross. The socket with rolled border. On its original faceted wooden haft with scarlet tassel intact. Late 17th century. Worn, minor bends to axe terminals. Haft slightly shortened in period. Overall length 180.3cm. Condition III
