A rare example of characteristic form, the body of cane in a tightly-wound spiral, lightly domed in profile, with each ring wrapped in colored thread. With applied profiled steel plates and straps with brass coin washers. Grip system intact to reverse. Retains it exhibition tag, WORLD’S COLUMBIA EXPOSITION TURKISH SECTION. 19th century or earlier. Light wear. The World’s Columbia Exhibition was held from May-October 1893. Diameter 28.5 cm. Condition II
