Made by Toledo craftsmen, and based closely upon the sword of the last Muslim ruler of Granada, Muhammad XII, known as Boabdil (1460-1533.) With bakelite grip and mounts enameled and gilded. The long, straight, double-edged blade with gilded panels at the forte and marked TOLEDO. In its leather scabbard decorated en suite with the hilt. C. 1930. Light wear, staining to blade.
