Description
So called as it was kept in the bedchamber close at hand for protection during the night. With spherical brass pommel and wire-wrapped grip, the iron guard repaired. The straight, tapering blade with a short fuller and maker’s mark. 17th century or later. Well worn. Overall length 100.5cm. Condition IV
