Description
Dating to the Katipunan era, and showing Spanish formal influence, the grip of a single section of finely carved and polished horn with matching engraved and silvered brass mounts. The well-forged blade expanding at the forte and tapering continuously to the tip, with pronounced central ridge and much original edge. The scabbard en suite, of pierced, carved and polished horn mounted in engraved silver. Lend of the 19th-beginning of the 20th century. Silver worn on guard, minor dents to silver on scabbard. Overall length 26.5cm. Condition III
