A unique example, the entire grip mounted in intricately-pierced and scrolled brass plaques, exhibiting a level of skill rarely encountered. With four mother of pearl disks set on each side, the pommel with en suite toggle. The blade wrought of actively-grained wootz with characteristic T-spine and chamfered cutting edge. First half of the 19th century. Blade with areas of age-darkening. Overall length 41cm. Condition II
