Description
A fine example of the type, based upon an Italian longarm which evolved in Boka Kotorska. Stocked in dark hardwood, with drooping butt elaborately inlaid with bone and mother of pearl plaques and brass medallions. With early flintlock mechanism, the octagonal Italian barrel fitted with sights during the 19th century, and retained to the stock by embossed silver bands. Mid-18th century. Light wear. Overall length 160cm. Condition II
