A massive example with characteristic large-eared horn grips. The long, single-edged, recurved blade with worn silver decoration and wrought with a broad central panel of twistcore damascus steel. The tooled leather-covered wooden scabbard with silvered mounts embossed and engraved with baroque stands of arms and scrolling borders. First half of the 19th century. Overall length 97cm. Condition III
