Of classic form, the silver or silvered mounts comprising an oval pommel cap and profiled backstrap, and symmetrical guard, the long quillons with expanded terminals with profiled decoration and wooden grip covered in leather. The massive, well-forged, single-edged blade triple fullered with pronounced back-edge. Mid-17th century or later. Minor wear overall. Overall length 94cm. Condition II
