Description
The guard finely forged of lenticular- and rectangular-section bars with recurved quillons and large ring guards with lower branches meeting the forte, the spherical pommel engraved. The wooden grip retains its leather covering and wire wrap. The long, double-edged blade forged with a rectangular forte and raised central ridge with obtuse tip. First quarter of the 17th century. Well worn, guard modified during its working life. Overall length 121.6cm. Condition III
