Description
Dating to the early Qajar dynasty, the bowl of deep hemispherical form chiseled overall with horsemen amongst flowering vines amidst panels of gild inlay, the rim with a broad panel of Qur’anic inscription in silver. Retains its original camail of fine iron and brass rings worked in a lehrian pattern, with long, tapering termini. Inlay rubbed in spots. End of the 18th-beginning of the 19th century. Height including camail 70cm. Condition II
