The crooked handle wrought entirely of steel with superior Higo Zogan or inlay work in gold overall, depicting intricately-detailed scenes of nature, including birds among foliage, and a view of a fishing village. The polished quadrangular blade with acute thrusting tip. In its bamboo shaft with gilt tip. Late 19th-early 20th century. Minor stable cracks to shaft. Overall length 93.5cm. Condition II
