The heavy head of characteristic form, of quadrangular section with high central ridge, expanding from the conical socket to the midpoint and then tapering evenly to the point. Struck with a maker’s mark in the form of a sword hilt. On its wooden haft with intact bindings. 15th century. Well worn. Overall length 161cm. Condition III
