Description
Of steel, with raised neck and arm apertures, and bordered with brass studs, the breastplate is of considerable weight and thickness. The backplate with chains intact. Marked on the interior of the breastplate at the lower edge, MANUFACTURE RYLE DE CHATELLERAULT FEBR 1847 3T2l NO. 487, together with various inspector’s stamps. Dated 1847. Losses to chains and one tab, the other tab and leather lacking. Overall height 42cm. Condition V
