Description
A rarer set than usually encountered. Of characteristic form, four plates wrought of fine wootz steel with rolled edges and borders elaborately inlaid in flowering vinework in gold. Buckles intact, retaining portions of lining. Early 17th century. Height of the largest 33cm. As found, worn overall, inlay heavily worn. Forming a set with lot 225 above. Condition IV
