Description
Retaining characteristic rapier hilts, with guards and fortes heavily gilded, one bearing a coat of arms depicting a gold lion on a deep blue ground, the grips covered in sharkskin, with cylindrical pommels expanding toward the terminal and retaining their original leather liners. Each blade struck ITALIA. First half of the 19th century. Well worn overall, minor losses to leather. Overall length 104cm. Condition III
