Description
The cup well embossed and engraved throughout with the fleur-de lis interspersed between intertwining vinework panels with crowns, with roped edge en suite with the long quillons, the knucklebow with beaded center and curled terminal, the spherical pommel chiseled with the smiling leering face of Bacchus. Grip with lacquered wire wrap intact. Double-edged tapering blade with narrow central fullers. Mid-17th century. Minor wear overall. Overall length 105 cm. Condition III
