A classic form produced in Damascus, with steel pommel and horn grips set with studs and brass wire wrap to base, with steel guard. The broad, pattern-welded damascus heirloom blade wrought with double fullers and a short inscription. In its shagreen-covered wooden scabbard with steel mounts and brass chape. Mid-19th century. Chape with substantial losses. Overall length 102cm. Condition III
