Acehnese work, the massive baskethilt reflecting its Hindu origin, wrought of steel and finely engraved with scrollwork. The well-forged, curved blade fullered, showing faint traces of pattern-welding, the tip with a pronounced central ridge. 18th-19th century. Minor wear. Overall length 95cm. Condition III
