Description
Mughal work, a massive example carved of a single large section with applied suspension rings and caps, the main one well-carved in the form of a makara head devouring an ox, the terminal a smaller makara head. The plug secured by a silver chain. 18th-19th century. Minor losses, caps glued in place. Overall length 48.5cm. Condition III. No overseas shipment.
