A rarely encountered form, the octagonal horn grip with cusped pewter ferrule, terminating in a broad, angled pommel, the profiled steel guard with rolled quillon and recurved knucklebow and oval guard. The fullered blade with radiused tip, pitted at the tip. Latter 18th century. Overall length 86cm. Condition III
