Description
A fine Zand Dynasty example of characteristic form, the grip carved of a single large section of shirmani, the fine blade handwrought of Persian black wootz terminating in an armor-piercing tip, with pronounced central ridge and gold inlaid vinework at either side of the forte, the gold itself engraved. Latter 18th century. Minor wear. Overall length 33.5cm. Condition II
