Description
The lobed steel guard with incised borders, developing into a robust and profiled knucklebow, the guard with expanded and beaded terminals, the flattened spherical pommel with profiling and stepped base. Wooden grip with copper wire and turkshead knots intact. The long, straight and double-edged blade of flattened diamond section. Latter 17th century. Pitted, tip rounded. Overall length 105cm. Condition IV
