Description
Of classic form, with elaborately-wrought hilt. The horn grip with fully-modeled makara-head pommel, the knucklebow and guard likewise terminating in finely-wrought Makara heads and lavishly inlaid with engraved silver and brass. The curved, single-edged blade well-forged, with inlaid scrolled brass panel at either side of the forte. Mid-18th century. Minor wear. Overall length 69cm. Condition III
