A massive example, mounted entirely in silver, the hilt engraved and nielloed. The long blade of especially high quality, well-wrought with elaborate silver inlaid panels for its entire length, depicting Burmese nobility surrounded by inscriptions. The scabbard mounted in silver bands, the woven cord a working life replacement. Mid-19th century. Well worn, minor dents. Overall length 84.5cm. Condition III
