A quality example, the head finely forged of Persian Kara Taban black wootz with panels of gold-inlaid vine motifs. The wooden haft with elaborately embossed mounts heavily gilded overall. Late 17th- early 18th century. Gold inlay well worn, minor wear to gilding. Overall length 57.5cm. Condition III
