Description
A large example made for a horseman, the hilt with knucklebow heavily inlaid with silver in geometrical motifs. The exceptionally long, broad single-edged blade wrought of fine pattern-welded steel, with shallow double fullers and remains of hussar-style etched motifs at the forte. Late 18th century. Silver rubbed. Overall length 105cm. Condition II
