Mughal work, the elegant hilt inlaid overall in gold in intricate vinework and retains its toggle. The fine blade well-forged of black wootz steel, the forte with large panel of complex goldwork and remains of an inscribed cartouche. 17th-18th century. Light wear. Overall length 83cm. Condition II
