An above average example, with antler grip of fine and unusual form, well carved with aso and leech motifs. The well-wrought blade faceted, with stepped tip and engraved panel at the spine. In its well-carved scabbard. Latter 19th century. Minor wear and losses, grip wrap lacking. Overall length 76.7cm. Condition III
