A rare example, the wooden grip with flared pommel and rattan wrapped grip band. The blade of characteristic angled form, very well-forged overall with a rectangular-section forte and blade expanding continuously toward the profiled tip. Retains is rattan-bound wooden scabbard. Mid-19th century. Minor wear overall. Overall length 66.5cm. Condition III
