Description
French work, the elegant body of pressed horn with chamfered edges, the mounts finely modeled in relief in baroque motifs including festoons, acanthus leaves, rosettes and a stand of arms. The cap a fully-modeled bird’s head, with integral vent pick. The mounts retain most all original heavy gilding. Early 18th century. Cap lightly rubbed. Overall length 27cm. Condition II
