Description
The elephant grip with incised floral motif, the pommel and ferrule embossed with acanthus leaves, the guard recurved. The robust blade straight and single-edged with central ridge and spear tip, struck at the forte with HK & H at one forte and a turkey mark at the other. In its leather sheath with gilt bronze mounts en suite with the hilt, the locket with a belt clip. Second half of the 19th century. Light wear, minor stable crack to base of grip. Overall length 27cm. Condition II
