Description
An earlier example, with elaborately crested pommel, ferrule and scabbard, the obverse wrought entirely of silver with engraving and niello, and set with a glass gem in the grip, with curved, single-edged blade faintly etched with export marks at the forte. Mid-19th century. Minor loss to niello, small crack to pommel. Overall length 41cm. Condition II
