A large example of circular, lightly domed form, of hardened hide, and brown finish overall. With four finely gold-inlaid bosses with pierced borders of prancing geese and geometrical and floral motifs. The reverse with cushion intact. Latter 18th century. Wear to lacquer. Diameter 58cm. Condition III
