Description
Moro Peoples, a massive example of characteristic form. The long, thick, broad handforged blade with distinctive curve and expanded tip with profiled spine, and displaying faint evidence of layered construction, the hardened edge largely visible, the faceted wooden grip with expanded pommel elaborately mounted in brass bands well-engraved in okkir, and bound at the base with a series of brass rings. Mid-19th century. Minor wear, some bands slightly loose. Overall length 97cm. Condition II
