An above average example, wrought entirely of steel, the grip and scabbard and chiseled with Persian heroes in cartouches amongst vinework. The curved, double-edged blade forged of fine, actively-patterned wootz, with raised central ridge and inlaid at the forte with elegant calligraphy panels. In its en suite chiseled steel scabbard. 19th century. Minor corrosion. Overall length 42cm. Condition II
