Description
A rare example of classic form, with rare horn grips, the mounts of silver, finely engraved and hallmarked with remains of gilding. The massive heirloom T-section blade fullered and paneled at the yelman, or back edge, and wrought of wootz damascus steel. In its leather-covered wooden scabbard finely mounted in silver, en suite with the hilt. Late 18th- early19th century. Overall length 98.8cm. Condition I
