Description
Characteristic Meccan work, with silver guard, pommel and tangbands and aged elephant grips. The excellent handforged heirloom blade single-edged and double-fullered, of a type produced in Germany as well as the Caucasus. In its leather-covered wooden scabbard with fine, large silver mounts embellished en suite with the hilt. Second half of the 19th century. Minor wear. Overall length 98.3cm. Condition II
