Description
Northern Greek work dating to the War of Independence. Of classic form, the horn grip embellished with twisted brass wire and studs with mother of pearl disks, the bolsters, blade reinforces and tangbands of engraved silver (?) The handwrought, single-edged and lightly-recurved blade with profiled spine and fullering. The leather-covered scabbard terminating in a bead finial. Blade age darkened. Overall length 30.3cm. Condition III
