French or German court workshop work, the body of pressed golden horn with finely stepped borders in baroque form, with sprung cutoff and elegantly pierced mounts throughout, each heavily gilded, including a massive belt hook modeled with a lion and monster head, and retaining its original woven silk cord terminating in a complex silk and gilt tassel. 17th-18th century. Minor wear. Overall length 26.5cm. Condition II
