Description
Wrought entirely of finely engraved and nielloed silver, and fitted with a series of profiled elephant plaques, each inlaid with gold and silver. The well-wrought, double-edged blade with single offset fuller to either side, and acutely-tapering tip. Retaining its leather belt with en suite two-piece silver buckle set with engraved and inlaid panels and struck with an Imperial Russian silver mark on the reverse dated 1891. Dated 1891. Minor wear overall, upper scabbard plaque a period replacement. Overall length of dagger 50cm. Condition II
