An enormous example, the massive blade of characteristic form, with lightly concave edge expanding as it sweeps sharply downward and abruptly upward again and terminating in a distinct peak. The faceted steel reinforced with flared terminal with turned wooden grip and profiled brass ferrule and disk pommel cap. 17th-18th century. Light wear, minor areas of pitting. Overall length 91.7cm. Condition II
