The blond horn grips with jaguar pommel, the characteristic blade with expanded spine tapering to an acute point, struck with makers name, HECHO EN OAXACA G MALDONADO (MADE IN OAXACA) and inscribed, SOY EL REY DE LAS MORONAS (I AM THE KING OF THE BRUNETTES) and engraved with jungle beasts. In its finely tooled leather scabbard with separately applied locket. Beginning of the 20th century. Worn, minor losses. Overall length 78cm. Condition III
