A processional weapon carried before a sultan or datu, in the form of a panabas axe. The blade with chamfered cutting edge and scrolled spine with engraved in okir motifs. With wooden grip expanding toward the pommel, set with engraved brass panels. Mid- 20th century. Light wear, sharpening. Overall length 63.2cm. Condition III
