The first standard Afghan infantry sidearm, the grip of chequered bone, with brass knucklebow. The curved blade broad, single-edged and fullered, wrought of actively-grained wootz. In its leather-covered wooden scabbard with brass mounts. Late 19th century. Well worn. Overall length 85.5cm. Condition III
