A rare example, the carved ebony hilt of characteristic form with bands of silver wire wrap to grip, the single-edged blade straight, broad, and thick, with ogival tip. Retains its carved wooden scabbard with elaborately filigreed silver mounts set with turquoises. Mid-18th-early 19th century. Minor wear and losses. Overall length 66cm. Condition II
