Description
A seldom encountered early example of characteristic form, bronze with finely molded muzzle and breach, prominent cascabel and trunnions. Well-patinated. C. 1650-1700. Such cannon were popular throughout the Moro lands and Borneo, where they were used on shipboard, the rails of houses and other dwellings, and as part of the dowry. Overall length 24.5cm.
