Description
The characteristic banati wood grip with detailed crest, the silver ferrule bound with elaborately-braided silver wire. The massive blade shows evidence of a hardened edge. In its rattan-wrapped, hardwood scabbard, the throat well-carved with okir motifs and set with mother of pearl. First quarter of the 20th century. Losses to pearl, tip of scabbard lacking. Overall length 60cm. Condition III
