Description
Qing Dynasty, a massive Manchu parade flag of the Blue Banner Regiment, embroidered satin of characteristic triangular form with crenellated edges. With embroidered five-clawed Imperial dragon amongst clouds together with the character for Longevity. The border retains its inked Manchu chop reading, MADY BY ZENG. 19th century. Tattered at one terminal. Overall length 150cm. Condition IV.
