A massive example, hilted in whalebone with characteristic scrolled edges carved with okir motifs, retains its red hair tassels and rattan bindings with iron guard. The massive blade showing pattern-welded construction with expanded tip and sharp edge. First half of the 19th century. Minor wear. Overall length 101cm. Condition II
